Job Overview

As an IT Support Specialist at Medyaf, you will be responsible for ensuring that all IT systems and services run smoothly across the organization. You will manage hardware, software, and network troubleshooting, while providing timely technical support to employees. This position is crucial for maintaining the company’s technological infrastructure and ensuring seamless operations, particularly across our offices in the U.S. and Middle East.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Support: Provide day-to-day support for IT-related issues, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network problems for Medyaf staff.
  • System Maintenance: Monitor and maintain computer systems, servers, and other essential technology to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Software Installation & Configuration: Install and configure software systems, including operating systems, productivity tools, and specialized property management software.
  • Network Management: Ensure the integrity and availability of Medyaf’s internal networks, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and manage network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • User Training: Assist staff with understanding new systems and technology, providing training and creating resources to help improve their IT knowledge and efficiency.
  • Security Management: Manage and maintain cybersecurity protocols, including software updates, firewalls, and antivirus systems, to protect company data and systems.
  • Vendor Coordination: Liaise with third-party vendors and service providers to manage IT infrastructure and resolve any external technical issues.
  • Asset Management: Track and manage inventory of all hardware and software assets, ensuring that Medyaf is always equipped with the necessary tools.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 2-4 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or a related field, ideally in a fast-paced corporate environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems. Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure), network management tools, and VPN setups.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to assist non-technical staff with understanding complex issues.
  • Security Knowledge: Familiarity with cybersecurity protocols, data protection regulations, and experience in managing secure networks.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail when working with complex systems.
  • Certifications: Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) are a plus.
